It\u2019s the end of a woman\u2019s childbearing years, brought on by the ovaries gradually slowing down. It\u2019s the end of menstrual periods for 12 straight months, without other obvious causes. It\u2019s the end of fertility and youth days. But has this to be this way?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p>Menopause is a turning point, not a disease, but it can have a big impact on a woman\u2019s quality of life. That\u2019s why\u00a0<strong>World Menopause Day<\/strong>\u00a0is so important. It was created to encourage women to embrace all changes happening in their body and look for specialists that can help them manage this phase of their lives more easily.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p>So, today we will talk about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/marialma.com\/blog\/what-you-should-know-about-the-effects-of-menopause\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">menopause<\/a>\u00a0and how important it is to prepare women for this new cycle. In societies like Japan where age is more respected and the older women are considered wiser, menopausal symptoms are significantly less disturbing. Many Japanese women reported no symptoms besides their periods stopping and did not think of the menopausal transition as a particularly difficult time. The Japanese language does not even have exact translations for words like \u201cmenopause\u201d and \u201chot flash.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p>In contrast, where being old is not seen as an advantage, many women associate menopause with symptoms that can much more devastating. Indeed symptoms referred by middle-aged women are very discrepant: 85 per cent of American women, but only 12 per cent of Japanese women, reported hot flashes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p>Menopause can be\u00a0<strong>a new beginning<\/strong>. The end of the road is not there yet, and life to come is certainly worth living.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"heading-text el-text\">\n<h3 class=\"h3\"><strong>Top Tips for a Healthy Transition<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p>And what a better day than World Menopause Day to share with you some tips on how to maintain a healthy life while in menopause? Check them out below:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p><strong>1) Maintain a healthy body weight<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>eat food rich in calcium and vitamin D<\/strong>\u00a0to decrease the risk of osteoporosis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column\">\n<p><strong>2) Stay calm and\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/marialma.com\/blog\/answered-why-meditation-can-change-your-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">meditate<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 it will help you to reduce stress and give you a good night\u2019s sleep.
