Marialma® Sensitive Zinc bed sheets

Pre-washing your new bedlinens before using is important for setting the threads, preserving the beauty of the fabric, and prolonging its life.

Avoid laundering fine linens with other items because these can damage the fabric: rivets, buttons, zippers, etc., (for example, denim jeans).

Machine Washing

  • Always check the care label before laundering and separate bedlinens into light and dark colours.
  • Most bedlinens can be washed on a gentle cycle in warm water with a cold-water rinse.
  • Pre-treat any stains before washing
  • Do not overload your washing machine, so that bedlinens move freely as not to lose their shape.
  • Use a mild liquid detergent without added bleach, optical brighteners, whiteners, or fabric softeners.
  • Do not use bleach because it may weaken fibers and cause them to yellow.
  • Do not dry clean your bedsheets
  • We suggest using half the recommended amount of detergent. Leftover chemical residue can damage the fabric.

Drying

  • Ideally, line dry bedlinens in soft, outdoor sunlight as the sun provides natural bleaching
  • Do not use dryer sheet fabric softeners.
  • Avoid overloading the dryer so items will dry evenly.
  • Set a gentle cycle.
  • Remove items from dryer promptly.

Ironing

  • Use a steam iron on a medium temperature
  • Spray with water from a spray bottle for stubborn wrinkles, if needed.
  • To restore the lustrous face of sateen and jacquard fabrics, iron on the reverse side.
  • To preserve the three-dimensional effect of jacquard, iron on its reverse side, atop a white towel to give soft support to the thread work design.
  • Always check if your steam iron is clean.
  • Iron bedlinens while still slightly damp.
  • Best to iron them on the reverse side.

Summing up, our suggestion for cotton bed sheets is that you follow the instruction bellow:

Ironing

  • Hemp bedsheets do not need ironing. In fact, one of the beauties of hemp bedsheets is its natural and relaxed look. However, if you think your bedsheets have become too wrinkly, you can iron them while the fabric is still damp. Be aware that dark colours should only be ironed on the reverse side.

Alpaca Throws

Always check the care label before laundering.

Even if washed by hand the weight of the blanket when hung to dry would distort and stretch the shape.

With the proper care, your alpaca throw will surely last decades. Follow the instructions below to insure that your alpaca throw becomes a cherished family heirloom:

  • Overall, alpaca throws need little care. Alpaca fibers wick away moisture and do not absorb odour or dust, making them resistant to becoming soiled
  • When the need to clean your alpaca throw does arise, it is recommended to hand wash your throw with gentle, non-abrasive soap, or even baby shampoo
  • After washing, place your throw on a flat surface to dry. You can lay it on top of a towel to help absorb extra moisture
  • Never use a dryer, as heat will cause your alpaca throw to shrink
