Benefits
The seaweed is pure and rich in essential substances such as vitamins, trace elements, amino acids and minerals. Its high level of antioxidants protects the skin against harmful free radicals, which damage our skin cells. Seaweed, a marine variety of the algae, has unique properties that help: to activate cell regeneration, to relieve skin diseases, reduce inflammation and soothe itchiness. Our sheets alone do not heal, but can contribute positively to overall improvement of the skin. And they can certainly be a potential complement.
Production
The fiber is produced exclusively from sustainable raw materials – wood and seaweed – using methods that save both energy and resources. The fiber is carbon neutral and completely biodegradable. Harvesting of the seaweed is a gentle, selective and, most importantly, sustainable process. It removes only the part of the seaweed that is able to regenerate. The seaweed is entirely untreated and all its ecological value is retained. The patented process of incorporating the seaweed firmly into a natural cellulose fiber (named the Lyocell process) ensures that the properties of the seaweed are permanently preserved within the useful life of the bed sheets regardless of multiple washings.
The benefits of cosmetic algae
Algae
Harvesting algae is a selective and sustainable process. It removes only the part of the algae that is capable of regenerating. The seaweed is totally untreated and all its ecological value is maintained.
vitamins, minerals, amino acids
The structure of the fiber facilitates the active exchange of its substances and the skin. Nutrients such as Calcium, Magnesium and Vitamin E are released by the natural body moisture when the fiber is worn.
antioxidants
The unique properties of seaweed help to protect our skin as well as, its high level of antioxidants protects the skin against harmful free radicals, which damage our skin cells.
free radicals-protection
Using the well-known ABEL antioxidant test, the University of Jena has confirmed the ability of the seaweed in SeaCell™MT to catch free radicals effectively.
ultra soft
A lyocell-based yarn is already super soft, combined with Egyptian cotton that has longer fibers, can produce a stronger and softer fabric. In addition, our sheets are made using a satin fabric.
